UX Design Agency

We are an UX Design agency that not only emphasises beautiful UI Design (user interface design), but also focuses on user experience and usability. With us, you get promising results that not only look good, but are also simple, work and are understood by your target groups.

Why is UX Design important?

User Experience Design is omnipresent. Wherever a user encounters a medium such as a website, an app or a haptic product, they inevitably come into contact with UX Design. The UX Design of the medium then determines whether the user understands the medium and can use or operate it. The most important factor here is usability (i.e. usefulness or user-friendliness). If it doesn’t meet the user’s expectations, level of knowledge and understanding, it will quickly lead to frustration.
This frustration can negate all other factors of the experience, such as the joy and pleasure the user experiences when operating or using the medium. This means that UX Design is the essential factor in ensuring that users, i.e. customers, buy and enjoy a product. Bad UX Design leads directly to frustration and costs everyone involved unnecessary time and nerves. Therefore, it is the duty of every developer, inventor or writer to test, check and optimize his product over and over again, because a product is never completely finished.

UX Design with agindi GmbH

If you want to make your customers happy or convince them of your seriousness and competence, you need a user experience design that has been reviewed and optimized by experts. As mentioned above, UX Design is used everywhere in life and is always in need of optimization. Although our UX expertise is broad and deep, we focus our services on the following core areas:

Websites

The website is the first and central point of contact for a customer who wants to learn more about a company. As a result, the website needs to make an impression in the first few seconds. To achieve this, the website must not only look good on all devices, including mobile, but also work well. It must be easy to understand in every way.

Software

The purpose of software is to make daily tasks as easy and fast as possible. If the user has to search for certain settings, options and actions, the opposite is the case. To prevent this from happening, the software, and therefore the terms, buttons, and layout used, should match the understanding of the target audience.

Apps

The goal of modern apps on our smartphones is to solve a problem in the user's life and/or to give them pleasure. However, this can only work if the app itself is intuitive or understandable and meets the expectations, knowledge and understanding of the user or target group. The user experience is always the center of attention.

HMI (Human-Machine Interface)

HMIs are the primary human-machine interfaces that are essential to the operation of a product or machine. If the user interface is self-explanatory, intuitive and designed with the target group in mind, it can be learned quickly. Only if the interaction with the product is fun will the user be motivated to use the product more intensively and productively.

E-Commerce

Shopping is something people associate with positive emotions. For this to continue in the digital world, online stores must provide at least as positive an experience (user experience). However, if the store is overloaded with information, the user cannot find what they are looking for, or the ordering process is too complicated, they will quickly become frustrated and leave the store.

Portals

In order for a portal to be used, it must also be understandable and, above all, intuitive to the target person and correspond to their level of knowledge and understanding. If this is not the case, the portal will either not be used at all or will be used very reluctantly. Therefore, every new feature of the portal, no matter how small, should be tested for usability.

Print Products

It may be hard to believe, but print products and their associated text and graphic elements also have a UX Design. Only when the wording, text design, layout, and graphic elements are well chosen and appealing to the target audience will a print product perform as expected and elicit the desired response.

B2B User Experience Design

In everyday business life, it is often misunderstood that good UX Design in the B2B sector is not so different from good UX Design in the B2C sector. However, when it comes to user experience, it is crucial that people are at the center. In user-centered design, people remain people and do not become emotionless robots. In the B2B sector they have the same human emotions, feelings and expectations as in the B2C sector. It is important to differentiate between the individual target groups in detail, as there are sometimes major differences in needs, whether in day-to-day business or in the private sphere. These must be correctly identified and addressed. That is why the user is always at the center of our work.

Our UX Design Process

The following services can also be provided individually

UX Research and Analysis

The first step to a good user experience is understanding. Understanding what the current problem is, how best to solve it, and what the goal of the end product should be. But the most important thing is to identify and understand the target audience, the user. To understand them, you need to know what they think, feel, and want in relation to the problem. If you have an existing product that needs UX optimization, a usability test is also a good option. This allows you to understand and solve the product's problems and the user's challenges.

UX Strategy and Consulting

Once the issues have been identified, our UX experts will advise you on the next steps and explain the problems and opportunities of the project. Based on this, and using user story maps, we work with you to develop a customized strategy tailored to the target audience. The result is a product that meets your users' wants, needs, and goals, ensuring your success.

Concept and UI Design

We start by determining the colors and fonts for the product. Based on this, a rough concept is created (if desired, in collaboration with you using the "Figma" tool). Our UX designers then define the user interface (UI) elements and their functions, and develop a comprehensive design system for the product. Based on the developed design system, the 10 heuristics according to Nielsen and the DIN standard ISO 9241, a final layout is created that is as user-friendly as possible.

Prototyping

Based on the final concept, our UX designers create a fully functional and animated click dummy that reflects the functionality of the final product. You can try and test this directly on your smartphone or PC. Creating a fully functional prototype saves a lot of time in the subsequent development process, as it can be used to identify problems during the design and testing process. For a perfect result, we also recommend a usability test. This involves the end user and their opinion of the product even before development. For prototyping we use Sketch, Adobe XD or Figma (depending on the project).

Usability Testing

There are two initial situations for which a usability test is worthwhile and recommended. 1. an existing or finished product whose problems need to be identified for optimization and 2. a prototype that needs to be thoroughly tested before final development. This can save a lot of development time and therefore costs, as errors and problems can be recognized and avoided at an early stage. We conduct our usability tests together with users (ideally with the target group itself) under laboratory conditions in order to obtain the best possible results for improving the final product.

Optimisation

The previous usability testing uncovers errors at an early stage that can be addressed before the actual development. Based on these results, we optimize the prototype so that the development of the project is not unnecessarily interrupted and prolonged by constant changes. Finally, the adjustments can be tested again to ensure that the new prototype is bug free. Once the new prototype is sufficiently advanced to meet the customer's requirements, it is released for development.

Ongoing Process

Finally, it should be added that good UX Design is not subordinate to a finished or completed state. UX Design is a never-ending process of research, analysis, testing, and optimization. A user experience design can only be considered "good" if it is constantly being optimized.
